Terms of Service

Last updated: May 8, 2026

The short version

  • You can use Inbound to receive email and forward it to your endpoints as webhooks.
  • You’re responsible for the content of emails sent to your mailboxes and for what you do with the data we deliver.
  • We work hard to keep the service reliable but we can’t promise zero downtime.
  • We can suspend accounts that abuse the service.
  • The service is in beta and free; pricing will be introduced with advance notice and an early-bird discount honored for early users.

1. Who we are, who you are

“Inbound”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator of this service. “You” and “your” refer to the individual or organization using it. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

Inbound is an email-to-webhook pipeline. We receive email at addresses you control, parse it, and POST signed JSON payloads to endpoints you configure. The full feature set is documented in-product and on our homepage.

3. Your account

  • You must be 16 or older and provide accurate registration information.
  • You’re responsible for safeguarding your credentials, recovery codes, and webhook signing secrets. We will never ask you for them.
  • One organization with multiple users per account is supported. Sharing a single login across people is discouraged.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Send (or arrange to receive) content that is illegal, malicious, or that materially impairs the service for other users.
  • Use the service to harvest, harass, or as a relay for spam laundering or unsolicited bulk receiving.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the service except where the law explicitly allows it.
  • Use the service to violate the privacy or rights of others.

We respond to abuse complaints. We may suspend accounts in egregious cases without notice.

5. Beta and pricing

  • The service is currently in beta and free to use within the limits documented at signup.
  • Paid plans will be introduced. Existing users will receive notice and an early-bird discount honored for at least their first paid billing period.
  • Limits during beta may be adjusted with reasonable notice.

6. Your data

You own the data you send through the service. You grant us a limited license to receive, store, process, sign, and deliver it solely to operate the service for you. We do not claim any rights to the content of your emails.

7. Service level and availability

We target 99.5% delivery success and a p95 webhook latency of under eight seconds. There is no formal uptime SLA during beta. Downtime credits will be introduced with paid plans. We may perform planned maintenance with advance notice in the dashboard.

8. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
  • We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these terms or, when paid plans exist, for non-payment, after reasonable notice.
  • On termination, we delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible threat.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) US$100. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, even if we have been advised of the possibility.

11. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operating entity is incorporated. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. The specific entity and venue will be confirmed in this section before paid launch.

13. Changes to these terms

We will post material changes here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept them.
